The Foodie Fee Story
When I eat food that is right for me, I think differently about my body and I feel a sense of respect and nourishment – things feel ‘just right’ and in perspective.
My background really has just been a lot of academic study – Agricultural Science, a PhD in Biology studying digestive physiology of an Australian marsupial, a Master in International Studies and another in Business Law. I’ve also been a fitness instructor and loved having the opportunity to help people discover and reach their goals.
Everything is connected. My experiences have taught me the importance of how food is produced and the value of the organic process. This is closely related to how food is consumed and understanding the digestive system and how it affects the immune system. I am acutely aware of the seriousness of our future health and food security but I believe we can make smarter long-lasting choices now.
For me the key to healthy eating and living is a deep sense of gratitude – whatever food I eat, I remember in that moment one in eight people in the world are chronically hungry (UNFAO, 2012).
